Elvis Horning-Esquivel was born in Burbank, California. He graduated from Phillips Jr. College, in Van Nuys, California in 1997, receiving an Associates of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies. In 2006, he completed his paralegal studies at the University of West Los Angeles, in Los Angeles, California.
Mr. Horning has over 20 years experience working for both plaintiff and defense firms within the State and Federal court systems. He has over 15 years experience in insurance defense litigation with an emphasis on the defense of wrongful death, serious personal injury, and other catastrophic claims resulting from commercial truck accidents, automobile accidents and a wide range of general liability cases, including but not limited to construction accidents, third party claims, and slip/trip and falls. He has worked and managed a large number of multi-million dollar cases from their inception to conclusion.
Additionally, Mr. Horning has extensive experience working on cases involving real estate disputes (especially mold & habitability claims), fraud, business contractual disputes, and employment law disputes (such as wrongful termination and sexual harassment/discrimination claims).
Mr. Horning has assisted with the handling of all phases of a case from pre-litigation investigation/preparation, throughout litigation and up to and including trial. At the outset of a case, his assistance includes interviewing clients and witnesses, generating countless discovery requests and responses, analyzing/evaluating plaintiff medical claims, and attending/participating in depositions, mediations or arbitrations. Immediately before and during trial, Mr. Horning assists our trial attorneys in the preparation of trial exhibits, preparation of witnesses for trial testimony and the effective presentation of a case to a jury or judge.
