Benjamin L. Goldstein was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from Pitzer College in Claremont, CA in 2005, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Studies. Mr. Goldstein studied law at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, California, and received his Juris Doctor degree in May 2011. Mr. Goldstein was admitted to the California Bar in 2011, and the United States District Court for the Central District of California in 2012.
Prior to joining Hosp, Gilbert & Bergsten, Mr. Goldstein worked at other law firms in Los Angeles where he represented clients including Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and individuals. His legal experience includes handling a wide variety of cases in state and federal courts, spanning the fields of personal injury, consumer rights, Americans with Disabilities Act, employment law, and criminal defense. Mr. Goldstein obtained exceptional results for his clients in civil matters at mediations, mandatory settlement conferences and informal negotiations. Mr. Goldstein also first-chaired a misdemeanor trial to verdict and conducted direct and/or cross-examination on scores of witnesses on the stand in felony hearings.
Before law school, Mr. Goldstein was a musician and music industry entrepreneur in New York and Baltimore, and participated in contract negotiations, media licensing, business development and marketing. The artists and projects received critical acclaim, radio play and features in major national publications and newspapers.
