Marco Garcia Castillo was born in Tijuana, Mexico, on April 29, 1987. He graduated from Yale University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. In 2015, he graduated with a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law.
While in law school, Mr. Garcia was a literary citation editor for the Pepperdine Law Review a recipient of the Faculty Scholar Award, which is a merit scholarship, and a certificate from the law school’s Palmer Institute for Entrepreneurship and the Law, with a focus on securities law. Mr. Garcia also received the CALI award for Legal Research and Writing II and for Acquisitions of Publicly Held Corporations, which is given to the student receiving the highest grade in the course.
Before joining Hosp, Gilbert & Bergsten, Mr. Garcia served as an extern for the Honorable Mark D. Houle in the United States Bankruptcy Court in Riverside, California, as well as for the Honorable Barry Russell in the United States Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Garcia also worked on the legal team of Realty Mogul, Inc., an online real estate investment platform, in Los Angeles, and for a small litigation law firm in Malibu, California.
Mr. Garcia is admitted to practice in all California State Courts. He is a member of the American Bar Association.
