Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Heidy’s passion for law and politics was sparked early by her grandmother’s advocacy for street vendors and vulnerable workers in Colombia. This foundation led her to study Political Science at the University of California, Riverside. During her undergraduate studies, she studied abroad in London and Paris, focusing on comparative law and politics with an emphasis on international law, policy development, and human rights.
She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law. During law school, she competed nationally on the Moot Court team and served on the Alternative Dispute Resolution team, where she developed significant experience in mediation and advocacy.
Her professional experience includes litigation under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, where she gained practical experience advocating for clients through discovery, motion practice, and case preparation. Her background in project management within the legal and technology sectors further strengthened her ability to handle complex matters, manage competing deadlines, and effectively drive cases forward.
Heidy is fluent in English and Spanish.
