Kylie P. Toro was born in Santa Monica, California, on September 2, 1984. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with an emphasis on writing. She was on the Dean’s Honor List and upon graduation was considered as a Valedictorian Candidate.
Ms. Toro studied law at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, California, receiving her Juris Doctor Degree in 2009. At Loyola Law she was on the Dean’s Honor List and received First Honors Awards in several classes including: Evidence, Law of Sales, and Appellate Advocacy. Such awards are given to the individual receiving the highest grade in each course.
Throughout law school, Ms. Toro served as a mentor to students in the Loyola Mentor Program. She also externed at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in the Hardcore Gang Unit located in Pasadena, California. In this Unit, Ms. Toro was exposed to case investigations, discovery, and trial preparation.
Before joining Hosp, Gilbert, Bergsten, and Hough, Ms. Toro clerked for Judge Pamela Sellers at the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (EEOC) where she researched and drafted bench memorandum on federal discrimination cases. Ms. Toro also spent a summer clerking for a personal injury law firm. |
