Rebecca N. Herman was born in Los Angeles, CA on February 8, 1982. She graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, GA in 2004 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She studied law at Pepperdine University School of Law, Los Angeles, and received her Juris Doctor Degree in May 2007. She served as the Student Articles Editor on the Pepperdine Dispute Resolution Law Journal.

From May through August of 2006, Ms. Herman served as an extern for the Honorable Terry J. Hatter, Jr., Judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. In Judge Hatter's court, Ms. Herman researched and drafted legal memoranda on various areas of law including property, contracts and procedural issues. She also attended motion hearings, oral arguments and trials and recommended dispositions of cases to the Judge.

While in law school, Ms. Herman participated in internships at International Creative Management (ICM) Entertainment Talent Agency and at Directors Guild of America (DGA). Ms. Herman drafted complaints and legal memoranda and made recommendations based on her legal research to the General Counsel of these respective companies.

Ms. Herman is admitted to practice in all California State Courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Central District of California. She is an active member of the American Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
