Warren L. Gilbert was born in Hertfordshire, England, on February 11, 1951. He graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1973, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. He attended Southwestern University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 1979.

Mr. Gilbert is admitted to the California Bar, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States Court of Appeal, Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Los Angeles County, Pasadena and American Bar Associations, American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.

Mr. Gilbert specializes in insurance defense litigation. He is an experienced trial attorney, having tried numerous court and jury cases in the state and federal courts. He has prepared and argued writs and appeals before the California Court of Appeal. Reported case: Hughes v. Southern California Rapid Transit Dist. (1985) 173 Cal.App.3d 512. He is the author of "Recent Developments in Post-Privette Independent Contractor Liability Law: Is the Tide Beginning to Turn?" published in Verdict Magazine, Third Quarter, 2005, and has spoken and lectured on legal topics before insurance companies, religious organizations, and businesses.

In addition to handling traditional insurance, personal injury, property damage cases, Mr. Gilbert handles cases involving products liability, wrongful death, wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment and assault, religious organization liability, public entity liability, elder and dependent adult abuse, toxic torts, construction defects, premises liability and insurance bad faith.

Mr. Gilbert serves on the Los Angeles Superior Court Judicial Arbitration Panel and has acted in such capacity on numerous cases. He has also served as a judge pro tem and settlement officer for the Los Angeles Superior Court, and as a fee dispute arbitrator for the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
