Dee Bartholomew was born in Torrance, California on November 2, 1958. She attended the University of Amherst, Massachusetts for one year, traveled west and completed her studies at the University of California at Los Angeles. She graduated cum laude from UCLA in 1985 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She attended California Western School of Law in San Diego on an accelerated program, completing her studies in two years in 1996. While there, she earned an Academic Achievement Award for writing and obtained the Jurisprudence award for Torts.

Ms. Bartholomew is admitted to the California Bar the California Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.

Ms. Bartholomew is an experienced defense attorney in the fields of personal injury and construction defect matters. Her prior experience includes tax defense, trust and estate planning, and corporate matters. In addition, she has worked on the plaintiff’s side in personal injury and worked on criminal defense matters early in her career.

In her spare time, Ms. Bartholomew sits on the Board of the Janes Village Nonprofit Organization, and volunteers to assist with humane animal shelters.
